QNAP 459 Pro II
PCworld has a review of the QNAP TS-459 Pro II NAS. PCWorld's headline pretty much sums it up: "High-Performance, Four-Bay NAS Drive Has a High Price to Match".
QNAP NAS models are usually high performance NAS devices with very full featured software. Their price point generally runs a bit higher than the Synology models at the same capacity. Sometimes the old saying holds true though - you get what you pay for. QNAP users on average give high marks to the QNAP NAS models.
From the PCWorld review:
Pros
- Superior performance
- Supports USB 3.0
- Great software features
Cons
- Expensive
Bottom Line
Super performance, four bays, USB 3.0, and a wealth of software features make this box a dream for SMBs, albeit a very expensive one.
