Qnap has a small business NAS with features and power that are unprecedented until recently. The TS-870U-RP is an eight bay rack mountable NAS with a couple of PCI express slots which allows for optional 10GbE adapters. PCPro recently reviewed the NAS and summarized its findings:
The Qnap’s closest competitor is Thecus’ similarly priced N8900, but while it’s a good performer, it lacks redundant PSUs, and it’s beginning to show its age in other respects, too.
If you want an eight-bay rack-mount NAS appliance with power redundancy, an unbeatable range of features and tip-top 10GbE performance, the Qnap TS-870U-RP is a cracking choice.
While not priced for the average home enthusiast, the QNAP TS-870U-RP is well positioned for small businesses that need high availability and fast speed in their network storage.
