Due to time constraints, i have only conducted (400MB), 5x loops on NAS Performance Tester 1.4
The Thecus N5500 is capable of achieving 90+MB/s on writes and 100+MB/s on read on the Gigabit LAN network

Windows copying
I'm copying the Windows 8 ISO (C: drive - SSD) to the NAS, speed varies @ 90+MB. Results shown concur as above
Temperature and noise are also excellent:
CPU/System temps are lows 30 which is excellent, i'm running the NAS in an ambient environment of 25 degrees Celsius + the NAS is really ultra quiet
I've owned several Thecus NAS servers in the past and found them to have a great price/value ratio.
